1808 Infantry Cartridge box, used through the War of 1812. Made of black bridle leather, with drop front panel used to retrieve flint from tin tnder a wood block. The box comes with drilled wood block and tin below.
1808 Lherbette Pattern Knapsack, made from 10oz canvas for long use, with black leather straps and adjustable shoulder straps. Light blue with painted oval and stenciled U. S. on the flap. This pack was extensively used by US 1812 military.
The shoulder strap measures 2.5 " wide. The length is controled with a brass ovel plate at the center of the chest when worn, made from white buff leather.
